My first trip to Ranthambore in 2016 was a disaster where we hardly saw a tiger except for Arrowhead sighting for two mins during the blue hour. During the same period, we also saw most cars coming up empty handed except one vehicle where the guide and his guest were continuously seeing tigers and spending quality time with them. The guide came across as supremely confident every time we passed by their vehicle and chatted with them. We were returning crestfallen and I happened to describe the guide to one of the hosts at Aman Resorts and he said “that must be Mazhar”. And therein our journey started as a family with him in Ranthambore.

I returned home and looked him up on Facebook and immediately messaged him and got a prompt response and went back within 3 months with him for a 4-day trip. It almost rained tigers during that trip. Since then we have done 5 trips with him and some of our friends traveled with him on our recommendation and all these trips were spectacular. Sightings were amazing. He is simply brilliant with his knowledge, vehicle positioning, animal behavior predictions and uncanny ability to find tigers when nobody seems to find them - almost like a Tiger Whisperer.

He is extremely friendly and polite and well-known and respected by all in Ranthambore. Tiger guiding is one of the toughest wildlife guiding according to me because it’s solitary and walks through dense forests in India unlike East African Savannahs or private concessions in Southern Africa where multiple vehicles are spotting and exchanging info on radio. Here the guide is on his own.

I have traveled the world and I have seen the best of guides on safari everywhere (innumerable times) but to us (and later to our kids, who have traveled everywhere with us), Mazhar is one of the best we have been with - not just in India but all over the world I would say.

Now that he has started Beyond Stripe Safaris, I wish him all the best. It’s been a privilege to travel with him and he has become a friend to our family and I am sure if anybody chose to travel with him to see tigers in Ranthambore, he or she would have a great experience. If a tiger is there to be seen, Mazhar will be there to show you.

RK

RK has been an absolute delight during our trip to Ranthambhore. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He doesn’t hesitate to go the extra mile to make your experience ultra special! We had an extremely memorable trip with him and our driver, Mahesh. RK the uses his years of experience very well and has a great sense of judgement with regards to the jungle. We were really fortunate to have had 6 sightings out of 6 rides! Thank you RK and Team Beyond Stripes for a fabulous experience.

The Ranthambore National park has separate safaris to explore in the park across separate zones . One of the most favourite is to see the majestic tiger in its natural habitat .

Jungle safaris are thrilling and a lot of fun .

My husband and I along with our 2 boys enjoy jungle holidays and Ranthambore is clearly our favourite .

To add to the excitement and comfort is Our guide and naturalist Mazhar who is simply brilliant ! His judgment and eye to spotting animals especially tigers is beyond words . That’s where his experience and passion comes out . He makes sure we are comfortable and well taken care of . He’s got clean gypsys too. He’s become a friend to our boys and has an answer to each of their questions . We all look forward to our Ranthambore trip thanks to him .

If you are looking at booking a safari and making your holiday memorable do contact Beyond Stripes .

They will take care of everything .

I highly recommend their services .

Review for (Bobby) beyondstripes safari We had an absolutely amazing tour with Bobby (beyondstripes safari) in Ranthambore National Park. He organized everything, accommodation, transfers from Jaipur and on to Agra (with a really good driver), the special permits for full day zone-free access and of course guided our Tiger Safari with the focus on photography, his attention to details was fantastic with removed row of seats and bean bags for our camera gear. We spent 2 full days (8/9th April 2017) with him and over that time say 9 different tigers with quality close sightings of at least 6 of them! Unbelievably, I know we were lucky but this exceeded expectations we returned with beautiful Tiger images thanks to Bobby. If you are a photographer and want to get the best pictures, use Bobby we can’t recommend him enough, he is outstanding!

I am a keen wildlife photographer who dreamt of the chance to see tigers in the wild. I was lucky enough to book my Indian safaris with Beyond Stripes with whom I have visited many tiger reserves. I have had numerous, excellent sightings of the majestic cat due to the expertise of their naturalists who have a passion and deep seated knowledge of the jungles and wildlife of India.
